We won’t name and shame in this instance as we don’t want to invoke any threats of litigation!

Let’s just say that there’s a rather nice house in one of the better parts of Sharrow that’s sporting horrible plastic windows when strictly it shouldn’t be. Its owner has already been in court twice and had fines of £200 and £500. He’s just been in court again and this time fined a more serious £5,000. He’s also been ordered to replace said windows with something more in keeping with the Conservation Area. Just to round things off, he’s been told to get rid of the dreadful tiled roof (presumably done for cheapness) and replace it with proper slates.

At long last the Council is making a stand. Well done.
