Did anyone go to the ceremony at the City Hall welcoming the famous lions which have been returned to their rightful home? We certainly weren’t aware of it until spying a small item on Page 14 of Wednesday’s Sheffield Star.
Why wasn’t there more of a fanfare? It’s a big story and we’d like to know more. How did we get them back? Did we have to buy them back or were they a gift? How were they transported? Apparently they’re currently standing in the foyer of the City Hall, are they home to stay and is this going to be their final resting place?
Many of the citizens of Sheffield are very fond of these iconic creatures and would love to know the full story.
